What we actually collect, why, and how it is protected — no overstated promises.
What we collect
- Anonymous visit statistics: the visited pathname (without query strings), the referrer as a hostname only, browser type, and a hashed (HMAC) visitor key that cannot be traced back to an IP address.
- Contact form data you submit yourself: name, email, request type, and message.
- Your email and optional name when you subscribe to the newsletter.
Why we collect it
- To measure site performance and see which content is useful.
- To reply to your messages, consulting requests, or sponsorship enquiries.
- To send the newsletter after you confirm your subscription (double opt-in).
How we protect it
- The site runs over HTTPS with strict security headers (CSP, HSTS, frame protection).
- Visitors cannot read newsletter or visit data; access is server-side only.
- We do not store raw IP addresses, and we never log message bodies or passwords.
Cookies
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- A single admin session cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict) used only by the site owner.
- Google Analytics may load, when enabled, for aggregate traffic measurement.
Retention
- Visit logs are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe, then marked as unsubscribed.
Your rights
- You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- You can request access to or deletion of your data at Raslny2020@hotmail.com.
- We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
Service providers
- We use an email delivery provider for confirmations and the newsletter, plus cloud hosting and database infrastructure to run the site.
